Hi Ho ! Hi Ho ! To the zoo we go...

My mom was in town a couple of weeks ago.  She took a few vacation days to come and see us, but a vacation it was not.  At least in the sense that there was no rest or relaxation. We were on the go the whole time. We had to get up EARLY that Thursday and Friday, and we didn't get home until LATE. Well late if you consider that my bedtime is 9:00 p.m.  My son Zach is in FFA and the Oklahoma City Youth Expo was going on.  He was showing one of his pigs there.  More on that later.  Be sure to stay tuned if lots of pigs and even more pig poop interests you.  In between all of that we  managed to squeeze in a trip to the zoo with my mom and some of my husbands family. The zoo opened their new elephant exhibit that week plus it was spring break which meant we were there with 10,000 other people. But in spite of rubbing elbows with 10,000 strangers we had a wonderful time.  Here are some pictures we took that day.

Well this is the first......

Hello world, my name is Christie and this is my first post ...  If all goes well this will not be the last.  I am one of those people that needs to have everything figured out perfectly before I jump into it. This is definitely not always a good quality to have.  But I have decided to turn over a new leaf and jump right into this blog thing.  Granted I have had the blog set up for a while now, it took me a month to figure out how to get it like I wanted.  Well in all honesty it still isn't exacly like I want it, but remember I am skipping past the perfectionism here.  Hopefully I will have pictures at some point on here other than the one I have now, but those that know me know not to hold their breath for to long!  So here I go I am clicking the Publish Post button....Let's see what happens ....
